Jennifer Argo is the Carthy Professor of Marketing at the University of Alberta. Her research primarily focuses on the impact of social influences on consumers’ thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. She has published in leading journals including Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Psychology, and Psychological Science. She currently serves as the President of the Association for Consumer Research and as a Co-Editor at the Journal of Consumer Psychology, and was previously the President for the Society for Consumer Psychology. She has won the Erin Anderson Award for an emerging female marketing scholar and mentor and was the co-winner of the inaugural ACR Early Career Award. She has spent her sabbaticals at Erasmus University, Duke University, and the University of Colorado at Boulder. She teaches Principles of Marketing to undergraduates and Consumer Behavior to Ph.D. students.
